It's been a minute since my last entry...the j.o.b. that pays the B.I.L.L.S has been keeping me busy! In an ode to Father's Day - this one is for the men! (or is it really?)
I asked a friend recently how does he "pamper" himself? Funny thing about the male species - when things "sound" too feminine, another title is created :)
So this friend doesn't think of taking care of himself as pampering, but suggested getting a fresh cut, some new gear and perhaps going to that restaurant he wouldn't normally go to his as close as it gets to "pampering". Pampering from his perspective is also what's done on vacation, getting that massage special treatment that is reversed for "special occasions."
I am totally amazed by this and asked a few other males friends and all the answers where similar. Am I the only one?
Here is my attempt to dispel that notion. While it's cool to be on that fabulous vacation or have your partner take on the role of your personal massage therapist - a little "pampering" that won't end a fantastic bedroom (or anywhere else you choose) session is an amazing thing! ;)
Just how does this work for men? Often the best way to treat your man and have him enjoy pampering is to do it for him! Couples massages are a fantastic way to introduce the man in your life to the benefits of "spa-ing". This usually means the massage is performed on both of you in the same room. Ladies, this is a perfect way to get your spa on - and treat your man!
Let's not forget that men can get facials too - this one is tricky - can't say I know any men who have had or want to have a facial. Well it's still possible...hit me up if you know any men who've had a facial and are willing to talk about it!
Men also get mani/pedi's...or manicures and pedicures - as evidenced by my interactions in my local nail salon. There are some men that take care of their hands and feet as well as any women!
I would suggest you find out if the man in your life likes surprises and would be interested in "spa-ing" before you book the appointment!
